Institut Montana Zugerberg
Since 1926, the Institut Montana Zugerberg has been a Swiss boarding school and day school. With 330 students from over 40 different countries, our students develop through our founding values: Internationalism, Individualism and Integration. The School offers four different programmes:
(1) A Bilingual Elementary School for grades 1-6, where students will learn in German and English based on
the Swiss curriculum. Boarding is only available for students who are 10 years old or older.
(2) A Bilingual Secondary School for grades 7-9 which is a specialized integration program for students who
need extra help and support before moving on to high school.
(3) A Swiss Gymnasium for grades 7-12, where students will learn German, English and French based on
the Swiss curriculum and have an increased chance to gain direct entry to a top Swiss university. An
International School for grades 6-12 where students can decide if they will study the IGCSE, IB Diploma
(4) American High School program.
Additionally, Institut Montana Cambridge English Foundation Year allows students in grades 5-7, drastically improve their language skills within a year to enter our Cambridge international program, without missing an academic year.
Instiut Montana also offers a 2- or 4- week summer session program for students aged 10-15 where they will learn German or English alongside various academic classes and take field trips. The students are offered individualized academic support, college counseling and are supervised day and night on our 60-acre campus that is well-connected to major cities in Switzerland.
